“Trenta querce” is located in a very good position - just a few kilometres from the most popular places in Umbria, Lazio and Tuscany, known for their incomparable artistic and landscape beauty.
Within walking distance from the Agritourism, there are some ruins of a Roman villa of the first century B.C., found on the hill known as Poggio Gramignano, by a team of Italian and American archaeologists during some excavations in 1988.
 Very close to the Agritourism there is the little hill town of Lugnano in Teverina, a fascinating place, sweetly set on the wooded hill top, dedicated in ancient times to the Roman god Janus (“Lucus Janus”, so Lugnano).Not to miss, is the fine Church (or Collegiate church) of Santa Maria Assunta mentioned in all the art books, a real gem of the twelfth century Romanesque design that treasures many important works of art, as the Crucifixion (Giottesque school), the triptych of Nicolò Alunno (dated 1494) and an alabaster Crucifix of the XV Century, believed to be miraculous.
Also to see is the Convent of St. Francis of Assisi, built in 1228 to honour the miracle he accomplished in Lugnano; he had ordered a duck to save a child kidnapped by a wolf. In the Town Hall is hosted the Antiquarium, an interesting museum with all the findings from the Roman villa of Poggio Gramignano. Out of curiosity, close by the Agriturism, along the track that leads to the Ventene mountain, there is the “Fairy’s Cave”, named after a popular belief that wants the fairies to shelter there, during the summer and winter solstice. It seams that their words would came out of the cave as wind; the locals explain in this peculiar way, the actual air blowing out of the cave.
11 Km from the Agritourism, there is Amelia, a nice country town, known in Roman times with the name of Ameria, surrounded by the famous cyclopean walls (VI Century B.C.), rich IN highly artistic and historic monuments as the XI Century Cathedral, and the Church of St. Francis (dated 1287).
16 Km DISTANT is the unique “Parco dei Mostri” ( Monsters’ park) of Bomarzo, already “Villa delle Meraviglie” (Villa of Wonders), a gem of mannerism art, created by Pirro Ligorio in 1552, commissioned by Prince Vicino Orsini. It’s a labyrinth made of gigantic statues and monstrous stone creatures.
 39 Km away is beautiful Viterbo, once seat of the Papacy. A place of matchless magnificence (the Papal Palace, home of the Popes; the Cathedral; the quarter of St. Pellegrino; the Priors Palace; all the churches and monuments); although of different periods, they harmoniously coexist in the perfectly preserved, historical centre. Well known is the St. Rose Sanctuary, that guards the Saint’s corpse. In her honour each year on the 3rd of Sept. is celebrated the Transport of the “Macchina of St. Rose,” (this is an engine of war, a sort of tower, 30 metres high weighing 5 tons, which is hoisted onto the shoulders of about one hundred “facchini” (porters) and thus borne aloft through the streets of the city.For the lovers of well-being, a “must” are the Papal Baths, (this area was known for the thermal springs since Etruscan times). This specialised complex in thermal and natural therapies of approx. 2000 sq. mt., will offer you a monumental swimming pool, filled by the Bullicame Spring, where one may pleasantly bathe in its steaming curative water, even in the cold winter months.
 È d’obbligo una visita alla graziosissima Orvieto (a 45 km), con un bel centro storico medioevale impreziosito dal Palazzo dei Sette (XIII secolo), dal Palazzo del Capitano del popolo (1157) e soprattutto dal famosissimo Duomo in stile gotico, costruito nel 1263, dopo il miracolo del sangue che sgorgò dal pane benedetto nella Basilica di S. Cristina a Bolsena.
Da non perdere, il Pozzo di San Patrizio, costruito come serbatoio di acqua nel 1537, su progetto di Antonio da Sangallo, con una doppia scalinata che scende a 62 metri di profondità e il Teatro Mancinelli. Per gli amanti della musica, Umbria Jazz Winter, un appuntamento diventato ormai tradizionale nel panorama del jazz italiano, vede Orvieto trasformarsi nei cinque giorni del Festival in una cittadella della musica che offre concerti ad ogni ora del giorno fino a tarda notte.
I dintorni della zona offrono moltissimi altri itinerari turistico-culturali. A 36 km c’é Civita di Bagnoregio, un esempio di meraviglia unico nel suo genere.
Unita al mondo solo da un lungo e stretto ponte, la "Città che muore", ormai da tempo così chiamata a causa dei lenti franamenti delle pareti di tufo, racchiude un gruppo di case medioevali adagiate su un cocuzzolo che sovrasta imperiosamente l'immensa vallata sottostante.
A 31 km, a Bagnaia, troviamo Villa Lante, una delle maggiori realizzazioni del Cinquecento italiano, con un meraviglioso giardino all’italiana chiuso in un rigoroso dedalo geometrico, realizzato dall’architetto Jacopo Barozzi, detto il Vignola, per volere del cardinale Gambara.
A 50 km, l’incantevole Palazzo Farnese a Caprarola, splendido esempio di dimora principesca rinascimentale.
Con una breve escursione, gli ospiti dell’agriturismo amanti delle bellezze naturali potranno inoltre godere degli incomparabili paesaggi del Lago di Bolsena (a 61 km), del Lago di Vico (a 63 km) e dei Monti Cimini (a 45 km).
“Trenta querce” rappresenta inoltre una base ideale per visitare Roma (a km 108, collegata in 55 minuti di treno alla vicina stazione ferroviaria di Attigliano) e Perugia (km 105).
